I'd like to share a quick list of features we're planning to release in Q3 for WorkXpress:

  • Microsoft Exchange 2007 Integration.  Without programming, push Email into WorkXpress (where you can do whatever you want with it) from Exchange; Contact and Appointment Sync coming in Q4.
  • Animated Line, Bar and Pie charts, based on a flash charts library.
  • A new type of list layout wherein the column headers are dynamically drawn, based on a second list setup. These columns will be user-filterable just as the rows are.
  • Time Zone selection when date times are entered.  So if you're in EST, and you are trying to setup an appointment for 9:00 PST, you can choose "US : Pacific Time" and enter 9:00AM and it will show as 12:00 AM EST for you.
  • An optional tab system across the top of the application which allows pages to be associated with a certain tab, keeping the User "in that tab" as they navigate from page to page, and even change the tab they're "in" when they jump to a page bound to a different tab through normal link navigation.
  • Improved billing features in the Project Management Portal to better support a diverse array of ISV and OEM relationships.
  • Improved tools to manage multiple production installations stemming from a single project
  • Improved automation of tenancy management capabilities;
    • Ability to empower an application originally designed as single tenant to assume a multitenant role
    • Ability to scale WorkXpress servers within a single appliance, necessary for the economics of serving many smaller applications from cloud-based IaaS partners.
    • Ability to choose one or more IaaS providers and have WorkXpress installations instantiated in a fully automated manner, with billing support.
